Awards

I enjoyed the writing ceremony because it was well prepared. It was held in 1030 CASL. The ceremony was on Wednesday at 4:30 to 6:00. The Awards were for students that wrote well papers. When I first entered the ceremony I saw people that I know and started to chat with them. Many types of audiences were there. There were parents, kids, old and young people. Professor Potvin started the ceremony by greeting everyone. Marry was called to speak. She welcomed parents, students, and faculty. She was impressed by the topics and styles the students choose. The writings consist of different categories, fiction nonfictions, poetry, and research papers.
I was impressed by Amal who won first place Award. She talked about the Hitchhiker.Amal said, she was standing in the grass and saw someone staring at her and said to her do you need a lift? Her writing was short, simple, and to the point. Another student named Halley who won first place. Halley talked about her husband and how bad he treated her. At first they were in love and then he became dangerous to her. He would hurt her and damage the walls by punishing. Halley would try to cover every hole in the wall and her face so when someone visited her nothing would be noticeable. At the end they ended up breaking up. Her piece was so detailed and sad. Carl won for his piece Wind of a Song. Kinsadra won for her piece Language I Speak. Over all, the student were great by delivering their message.
